Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a full-time DOM Post Award Core Grants & Contract Program Manager to lead the Post-Award Core team, ensuring compliant administration of sponsored projects and timely service to faculty. Hybrid schedule, coordinating with the DOM Research Office and Grants & Contracts Office.

Responsibilities include supervision, SOP development, financial transactions, and ongoing training to keep the team current on grant regulations, especially NIH

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, physical sciences, healthcare, finance, accounting, business administration, business, or a directly related field.
• Five (5) years of experience managing sponsored projects administration, including at least three (3) years of post-award administration.
• Three (3) years of experience supervising professional employees.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of research services professionals (grant administrators) and assign workloads to team members, ensuring that team members have appropriate workloads.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures and policies for the Post-Award Core.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of services provided.
• Serve as the Department's content expert in post-award grants and contracts management.
• Perform journal entries, PETs, funding distributions, and other financial transactions involved in sponsored projects administration to complete financial tasks and tracking for NIH, VA, DOD, and private foundation grants and contracts.
• Implement university fiscal policies and procedures, and state, federal, and sponsor policies and standards applicable to business management of projects (personnel, accounting, auditing, etc.). Prepare budgets for federal, state, industry, university, and private sponsors for grants, fellowships, and contracts.
• Responsible for training the team to provide team members with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively and accurately, including all tasks performed by post-award core, such as journal entries, PETs, funding distributions, projections, and other financial transactions involved in sponsored projects administration.
• Ensure all grant and contract team members stay up to date with the latest grant regulations, with a specific focus on NIH awards. Provide reports for DOM and division leadership as requested in a timely manner.
