Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist for Academy of Arts & Technology in Marion, Ohio to support at-risk students with behavior and attendance challenges.

The role involves conducting Functional Behavior Assessments, implementing behavior intervention plans, participating in IEP teams, and advising staff and families on positive behavior strategies. A Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IEP teams and develop relationships with students needing intervention.
• Develop and monitor behavior tracking and intervention plans (FBA, function-based interventions, BIP).
• Provide crisis intervention and support to staff on behavior modification strategies.
• Monitor attendance and contribute to absence intervention plans.
• Maintain accurate records in line with school policies.
