Job summary

Spring Independent School District invites applications for a Positive Behavior Intervention Aide (PBIA) at Spring High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The PBIA provides leadership for a behavior support program, works with identified students to develop positive social and academic habits, and supports teachers with classroom management and targeted interventions.

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework (48 semester hours) or an associate’s degree, or NCLB test in Reading, Writing and Mathematics.
• Minimum 3 years working with students as a learner advocate and support for teaching and learning.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• 5 years experience working with students in advocacy and educational support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates PBIA activities with the administrator.
• Organizes PBIA supports for effective classroom management and supervision.
• Receives, secures and returns students’ assignments from teachers/subjects.
• Monitors student progress and communicates with teachers on difficulties.
• Counsels with students to address behavior and coordinates with counselors.
