Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking a POS Analyst/Retail Store Application Specialist for onsite work in Matawan, NJ. You will identify and perform store POS setup, assist with onboarding and integration plans, and provide Level 2 support to member stores.

You will liaise with store personnel, vendors, and IT teams to ensure successful deployments and adherence to SDLC processes. The role requires 5+ years in POS technology within retail, experience with SAP S/4/PI, and the ability to document requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS or Computer Science completed.
• 5+ years of experience with Point-of-Sale technology.
• 3+ full POS implementations in a Retail environment.
• Experience with SAP S/4/PI integration.
• Retail Grocery POS experience or comparable Consumer Goods Retail experience.
• Ability to gather business requirements and document for development.
• Expert understanding of integrating store data with POS systems.
• Familiar with second-level support and ITIL concepts.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of SDLC phases and full lifecycle implementations.
• Experience creating testing scenarios and scripts for quality implementation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; multilingual is a plus.
• Experience in setup and maintenance of customer loyalty solutions.
• Supervise/train/evaluate team members as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and performs setup within co-op applications for data loads and POS integration.
• Assists in developing onboarding conversion/implementation plans for new stores.
• Performs onboarding and setup activities for new stores.
• Advises store personnel on POS setup for data integration from co-op solutions.
• Advises on POS personalization for customer limits, overrides, discounts, etc.
• Assists stores with new hardware devices as per Device Standards.
• Provides Level 2 support and escalates per procedures.
• Collects demands from stores and advocates for IT prioritization.
• Monitors data integration between co-op systems and store apps.
• Participates in QA testing and UAT for changes impacting store ops.
• Designs communications/training for releases affecting stores.
• Evaluates opportunities to improve efficiency and capabilities.
• Defines common processes to enable service delivery to stores.
• Identifies on-site tasks for IT Field team during store visits.
• Assists stores with vendor/service provider resolution when possible.
