Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a POS Performance Architect to lead performance engineering for retail and restaurant POS platforms. The role focuses on scalability, reliability, and responsiveness across in-store terminals, kiosks, mobile devices, and backend services.

The candidate will design, develop, and execute testing strategies, build test frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance while mentoring QA and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in performance testing for retail/restaurant POS systems.
• Ability to develop workload models and test frameworks.
• Strong collaboration across development, architecture, and operations.
• Familiarity with PCI compliance and payment systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance testing strategies for POS apps and services.
• Create and maintain test frameworks using LoadRunner, TruClient, and Playwright.
• Conduct load, stress, scalability, endurance, and capacity tests for POS systems and APIs.
• Analyze results, identify bottlenecks, and propose optimizations.
• Automate performance tests in CI/CD pipelines and mentor teams.
