Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced POS Performance Architect to lead performance engineering for retail and restaurant POS platforms in Orlando, FL. The role focuses on scalability, reliability, and responsiveness across store environments, kiosks, and backend services.

You will design test strategies, develop workload models, and implement automated performance testing within CI/CD pipelines, mentoring teams in best practices and performance analysis using industry tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in LoadRunner, TruClient, and Playwright.
• Experience with POS systems across retail and restaurant domains.
• Strong background in load, stress, scalability, and endurance testing.
• Knowledge of APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
• Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance testing strategies for POS applications and supporting services.
• Create and maintain performance test frameworks using LoadRunner, TruClient, and Playwright to simulate realistic user interactions.
• Conduct load, stress, scalability, endurance, and capacity testing for POS terminals and backend services.
• Develop workload models representing store operations and peak transaction periods.
• Monitor application, network, database, and infrastructure performance during tests.
• Analyze results, identify bottlenecks, and provide optimization recommendations.
• Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot issues and validate improvements.
• Integrate automated performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
