Job summary

Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay is hiring a store team member to lead an excellent customer and brand experience while promoting sales. You will run registers, process payments, and help maintain store standards.

The role requires strong English communication, good math skills for cash handling, and dependable attendance. This is a full-time position supporting a welcoming store environment and the Goodwill mission.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent is required.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.
• Strong math skills are preferred for cash handling and pricing tasks.
• Ability to communicate and understand instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs Point of Sale (POS) responsibilities and processes all forms of payments.
• Asks each customer for cash donations at POS.
• Establishes or identifies prices of goods via the type of merchandise and markings.
• Completes closing procedures as necessary.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
• Greets customers and thanks them as they leave the store.
• Maintains sales floor by following floorwork and standards.
• Stocks merchandise in assigned areas.
• Uses phones and paging systems for announcements.
• Keeps a clean and safe store environment.
• Models Goodwill Core Values: Trust, Collaboration, Engagement, Ownership, and Innovation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
