Job summary

H-E-B is seeking an accomplished POS Accounting Manager to oversee the financial integrity of Point of Sale accounting and retail operations. You will lead the Front End Services accounting team, manage journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting, and partner with Front End Operations and Digital teams on system enhancements.

The role calls for strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software and Excel, with a focus on accuracy and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and regulatory understanding.
• Experience leading accounting teams or projects.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel.
• Experience with POS accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Front End Services accounting team handling journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis.
• Oversee POS accounting accuracy, timeliness and compliance with GAAP.
• Collaborate with Front End Operations and Digital teams on system updates and new initiatives.
• Support month-end close, audits, and system implementations.
• Develop and mentor staff, set performance metrics and team goals.
