Job summary

Serco invites applications for a Project Manager to join the PORTS program in Middletown, Rhode Island. The role focuses on leading Navy training system projects, coordinating between the Program Manager, customer, and project team to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality metrics are met.

Candidates should have a DoD Secret clearance eligibility, a relevant bachelor’s degree, at least 5 years of management experience including P&L, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
