Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Service Director to cover the Greater Portland, Oregon service area. The role drives service strategy, leads field engineers, and partners with market leadership to grow business and improve customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include acting as the primary customer contact, coordinating with internal teams, and developing strong customer relationships. The role requires relocation to the Portland area and 40–50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years related experience)
• 5+ years of experience leading teams with coaching/mentoring
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
• Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
• Proven experience in successfully managing customer relationships
• Ability to understand customer issues and drive resolution (technical or business)
• Must relocate to the Greater Portland area (relocation package provided)
• Must be willing to travel 2-3 days in the field (40-50% travel)

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact to the customer for timely resolution of concerns across region/product lines
• Maintain knowledge of region, coverage area, and product configurations; interface with internal functions to support customers
• Establish and maintain ongoing technical and business support for assigned customers in the geographic region
• Lead and develop field engineers; hire and coach talent as needed
• Direct people management responsibilities including staffing and performance development
• Apply deep technical discipline and analytical thinking to policy/strategy execution
• Understand market and competition to improve outcomes and profitability
• Use internal/external sources to inform decisions; mentor less experienced colleagues
• Lead small projects with low risk and resource requirements
• Convey performance expectations and manage sensitive issues
