Job summary

Jobot is looking for a Project Engineer II to join our Portland, OR team. You will oversee projects from inception to completion, coordinating RFIs, submittals, material orders, and cross-disciplinary collaboration with PMs, designers, and contractors. This on-site role emphasizes safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

You will lead junior engineers, manage scope changes, and develop robust project plans while ensuring quality and client satisfaction on diverse commercial construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering with proven complex project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of RFI, submittals, material coordination, and purchasing processes.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and creative engineering solution skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with project management software.
• Strong health and safety compliance understanding.
• Commitment to meeting deadlines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive engineering support from design through final completion.
• Prepare, review, and manage RFIs, submittals, and material coordination.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, contractors, and stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Coordinate and oversee junior engineers and technical staff.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure safety and specs.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks proactively.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
• Manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs using verification techniques.
• Foster continuous improvement with innovative engineering solutions.
