Job summary

CIBC is seeking a Team Portfolio Specialist in Chicago to support bankers and clients by coordinating financial information, monitoring portfolio requirements, and aiding in timely renewals and reviews. You will also help with research, prospecting, and portfolio analysis to enable bankers to focus on client relationships and business development.

Qualifications

• Relevant portfolio or banking experience is required.
• Experience in private banking, commercial banking, wealth management, lending support, or portfolio administration is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio management activities by contacting clients to collect financial information before renewal/annual reviews.
• Coordinate documentation and monitoring; upload items into systems and assist with covenant testing and insurance certificates.
• Manage client servicing needs by communicating about past due payments, fees, and collateral shortfalls; keep bankers informed.
• Maintain portfolio data quality through updates to householding, officer assignments, and profit centers; perform quality checks.
• Assist bankers with prospecting, call lists, CRM updates, and materials for client meetings.
• Provide research and analysis support on prospects, collateral, covenant calculations, and portfolio projects.

Education

College diploma or university degree in business, finance, economics, or related field
