Job summary

6 Degrees Group is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to manage the financials for a portfolio of properties in Atlanta. You will own the monthly close, cash reconciliations, and financial reporting, collaborating with property managers and operations teams.

Responsibilities include preparing monthly operating statements, analyzing accruals, working closely with managers to resolve issues, and supporting audits. The role requires office presence several days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of property management accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of property management accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete monthly operating financial statements for a portfolio of properties, including cash tracking, bank reconciliations, and monitoring of critical expenses.
• Calculate, record, and monitor key accruals and prepaid expenses; maintain accurate general ledger records within property management accounting software.
• Work closely with Property Managers to provide financial reporting support and resolve accounting issues through pre-close and close activities.
• Support audits, internal reviews, and management inquiries as needed.
