Job summary

The Quest Organization is seeking a Project Executive to lead a portfolio of heavy civil and excavation projects from preconstruction through closeout in the Boston area. You will oversee safety, quality, schedule, and profitability while guiding Senior Project Managers and teams to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities include ownership of forecasting, budgets, WIP, cash flow, and change orders; risk management; and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in heavy civil/excavation or infrastructure construction.
• Experience managing civil road projects for a heavy civil contractor.
• Leadership roles such as Project Executive or Senior Project Manager.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, scheduling, estimating, and project controls finance.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams.
• Excellent client management, negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of multiple heavy civil/excavation projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and project teams.
• Own portfolio financial performance, including forecasting, budgets, WIP, cost-to-complete, cash flow, and change order management.
• Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, operational, and schedule risks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, clients, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Support preconstruction efforts, project planning, contract reviews, staffing, and project startup.
• Drive consistency in project controls, reporting, and execution across the portfolio.
• Partner with field leadership to optimize staffing, production, safety, and project delivery.
• Lead resolution of major project issues, claims, and complex client matters.
• Champion continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.
