Job summary

JL Construction Corp in Springfield, MA, is seeking a full-time Project Manager to support the senior project manager through all bidding phases and project execution. The role offers a path to leadership in a growing heavy civil contractor specializing in excavation, infrastructure, streetscape, and site development.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in construction management or civil engineering, 1+ years of excavation experience, and OSHA certification.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction engineering management or civil engineering preferred; hands-on construction experience considered.
• 1+ years of excavation/horizontal construction experience.
• Ability to interpret bid documents, plans and related project/construction documents.
• Experience with performing takeoffs and calculating estimates.
• OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification and a valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of state bidding practices (MA/CT).
• Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn industry-specific software.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel locally to job sites/meetings.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior PM with all bidding phases from opportunity search through closeout.
• Help ensure projects are completed efficiently, on budget, and to JL Construction Corp standards.
• Coordinate with site teams and clients, supporting quality, safety, and scheduling.
