Job summary

Prefect is seeking a Director of Product to unify three products into one coherent portfolio. You will own discovery, validation, and product judgment, coaching engineers and aligning roadmaps with the company vision.

This is a senior, individual-contributor style role in a remote-first, high-performance culture. The role reports to the Head of Engineering and offers a generous salary with equity and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product with leadership experience, owning multi-team roadmaps.
• Led product work in startup or engineering-led orgs without direct authority.
• Synthesizes across multiple product domains, portfolios or post-acquisition integration.
• Deep familiarity with the modern data stack, orchestration, or developer tools; bonus for agentic systems or MCP.

Responsibilities

• Drive product decisions for shared surfaces and align each product's roadmap to the company vision.
• Build our discovery practice with customer signals and validate problems across surfaces.
• Coach engineers to carry product judgment and frame problems with evidence.
• Design and own the system for post-launch validation and learning feedback.
