Job summary

COPT Defense Properties is seeking a senior accounting leader to ensure GAAP-compliant financial integrity for a portfolio of properties. The role requires supervising operations accounting teams and guiding preparation of NOI analyses, budgets, and forecasts.

You will interact with regional leadership and asset managers, drive internal controls, and coordinate with audits. A CPA and 8+ years of accounting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 8 years of related accounting experience, property accounting experience a plus.
• 2 years of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• CPA certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain historical books and records for assigned portfolio of properties in compliance with GAAP.
• Ensure strong internal controls to identify discrepancies and support SOX 404.
• Prepare and review monthly NOI, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with property management and asset managers; present results monthly.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
