Job summary

1st Source Bank is seeking an experienced Loan Services professional to lead the Mortgage Lending Portfolio Products organization in South Bend, Indiana. This on-site role focuses on managing, monitoring and driving portfolio performance, regulatory compliance and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams in mortgage lending or related field.
• Experience with portfolio mortgage products and non-traditional structures preferred.
• Strong understanding of mortgage regulations (Fannie Mae, down payment assistance) preferred.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Credit, and Operations.
• Willingness to adapt to change and drive process improvements.
• Familiarity with Encompass or similar LO systems.
• Proficient PC skills (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and operational implementation of new portfolio loan programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and vendor management.
• Oversee management of portfolio mortgage loans on balance sheet for optimal performance and risk control.
• Ensure compliance with mortgage regulations for portfolio loan products.
• Develop mortgage products for high-net-worth individuals and LMI buyers using creative financing.
• Collaborate with Sales, Credit, and Operations to streamline complex transactions and provide training as needed.
• Coordinate integration of stacked down payment assistance programs into loan processes for LMI buyers.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline loan processing, underwriting, and approvals.
• Handle exceptions and resolve complex issues.
