Job summary

Stryker Corporation is seeking a Portfolio Manager on the Knee team to shape the Partial Knee portfolio by translating customer needs into compelling value propositions and growth opportunities. You will collaborate across functions to support NPD, commercialization, and pricing strategies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience; MBA and medical device/marketing background are preferred. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop portfolio and product strategies by translating customer, patient, and market insights into compelling value propositions and growth opportunities.
  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative market research, VOC, competitive intelligence, and third-party data to identify customer needs, industry trends, and market opportunities.
  • Partner cross-functionally throughout the NPD process, helping advance new products from concept through commercialization.
  • Build financial business cases and ROI models to evaluate new product opportunities and support investment decisions.
  • Develop market assessments, volume forecasts, and commercialization strategies grounded in market dynamics, customer insights, risk, and uncertainty.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to develop go-to-market and product launch strategies for new products.
  • Identify opportunities for customer acquisition, retention, market expansion, and portfolio growth, evaluating the financial tradeoffs associated with each.
  • Partner with Clinical Affairs and Product Marketing to develop clinical evidence, publication, and messaging strategies that support portfolio objectives.
  • Lead Product Lifecycle Management (PLCM) activities aligned with the broader portfolio and business strategy.
  • Develop pricing strategies aligned with market dynamics, customer value, brand positioning, and overall marketing strategy.
  • Support development of sales enablement tools, marketing channels, and commercial communications that drive product adoption.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships across Marketing, R&D, Clinical Affairs, Finance, Sales, and other key functions to achieve portfolio objectives.

You’ll leverage research, market intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration to bring forward-thinking strategies to life and support our mission of moving patient lives.

What you will do:

  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative market research, Voice of Customer (VOC), competitive intelligence, and third-party data to identify customer needs, industry trends, and market opportunities.
  • Partner cross-functionally throughout the New Product Development (NPD) process, helping advance new products from concept through commercialization.
  • Build financial business cases and ROI models to evaluate new product opportunities and support investment decisions.

These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
