Job summary

United Bank in North Carolina is seeking a qualified professional to join the lending team. This role requires a strong background in financial services, loan underwriting, and analysis of financial statements, tax returns, and loan documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business/finance.
• 3+ years in Financial Services; exposure to Commercial Banking a plus.
• Experience with loan underwriting and credit training.
• Must complete system training within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to analyze financial and project statements, and tax returns.
• Understanding of loan structures and lending regulations.
• Knowledge of loan documentation criteria.
• Spanish or additional language skills are a plus.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal, customer relations and sales skills.
• Self-starter, organized and detail oriented; able to work independently.
• Travel within the local market may be required.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in Financial Services required; Exposure to Commercial Banking highly desired.
• Prior working experience with loan underwriting and credit training is required.
• Ability to successfully complete system training within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to analyze financial and project statement, corporate and personal tax returns.
• Understanding of basic loan structure processes and regulations associated with lending
• Strong understanding of loan documentation criteria.
• Knowledge of United’s services, products, policies and procedures is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Spanish or additional language a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent interpersonal, customer relations and sales skills.
• Ability to demonstrate being a self-starter, well-organized, detail oriented.
• Ability to work well independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel within the local market may be required.
