Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC in Chicago seeks a Director, Portfolio Controlling to lead a finance team overseeing financing agreements for a growing renewables portfolio. You will drive monthly reports, tax equity, debt, JV structures, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external financing partners.

The role requires deep experience in tax equity, structured finance, and asset performance metrics, with strong leadership, communication, and modeling skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance or related field is required.
• Advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum 12 years in finance, accounting, or related consulting.
• Experience with tax equity and loan financing required.
• Proven leadership of teams of three or more.
• Renewables sector experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team administering financing agreements (tax equity, debt, JV).
• Deliver monthly operating reports, PAYGO, cash distributions, and budget tracking.
• Manage external financing counterparties as the primary liaison.
• Collaborate with Legal, Accounting, Tax, and Asset Management.
• Advise on deal structuring and financing language for post-closing.
• Oversee returns modeling and negotiations with financiers.
• Develop the Portfolio Controlling team and standardize processes.
• Support integration and cross-functional initiatives.
