Job summary

KeyBank in Cleveland is seeking an Associate, Portfolio Management who performs financial analysis and prepares underwriting documents to support multimillion-dollar corporate credit requests, while maintaining asset quality within a moderate risk profile.

You will gather data, model performance, assist bankers in structuring transactions, ensure KYC/OFAC compliance, monitor covenants, and collaborate with product partners to cross-sell bank products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business or equivalent work experience.
• MBA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial underwriting, credit, banking, and/or financial services experience; syndicated deal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze financial data for clients, including spreads and performance.
• Model future financial performance and assess creditworthiness.
• Prepare thorough credit underwriting documents identifying risks and mitigants.
• Ensure regulatory compliance including KYC and OFAC checks.
• Manage the approval process for lending commitments and amendments.
• Maintain accurate loan documentation reflecting approvals.
• Monitor portfolio performance and covenant compliance.
• Establish and maintain direct client relationships; support cross-selling opportunities.
