Job summary

Solen Software Group is seeking a Controller to own treasury, monthly close, and portfolio reporting for our software holdings and holding company. You will consolidate across entities and currencies, lead a team of accounting professionals, and ensure GAAP compliance and audit readiness.

You will partner with our Portugal‑based shared services team, design scalable processes for acquisitions, and provide strategic financial leadership to support growth and investor reporting in a PE‑backed,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
CPA license or credential (active or inactive).
10+ years in progressive accounting roles with full close cycle and leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, especially revenue recognition and business combinations.
Experience leading complex audits including multi-entity consolidations and technical accounting.
IFRS knowledge is a plus; US GAAP fluency remains priority for a US C-corp.
Experience with shared services, cost allocation methodologies, and transfer pricing in multi-entity or global settings.
Big‑4 or related professional services experience, especially in audit/advisory, is preferred.
Exposure to post-acquisition integration and scaling finance teams.

Responsibilities

Own monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP-compliant close across multiple entities and currencies, ensuring audit readiness.
Lead multi-entity, multi-currency consolidations including intercompany transactions and eliminations.
Partner with accounting team (Portugal) providing technical guidance and oversight of shared services.
Manage a team of accounting professionals, optimizing close process consistency.
Review journal entries, reconciliations, and key accounting judgments for accuracy.
Ensure compliance and audit readiness across the portfolio.
Design onboarding for acquisitions and migration to ERP with proper technical accounting.
Develop scalable accounting processes for new entities without disrupting close cycles.
Prepare standalone, business unit, and consolidated financial statements for management and investors.
Collaborate with FP&A on post-acquisition reporting and integration from day one.
