Vermette Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Director of Asset Management to oversee financial performance, capital planning, procurement, and operations across a diverse portfolio including multifamily, commercial, and hospitality assets.

The role serves as the key liaison between ownership, the management company, and hospitality operators, driving portfolio strategy, financial performance, and long-term value creation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Accounting, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in asset management, real estate/hospitality operations, finance, or executive leadership.
• Advanced proficiency in financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, valuation, and capital planning.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly financials and KPIs against budget across multifamily, commercial, and hospitality assets.
• Lead annual budgeting with property management and hospitality teams.
• Develop asset-specific business and capital plans, including rent opportunities where applicable.
• Monitor occupancy, collections, and market conditions; evaluate refinancing or redevelopment opportunities.
• Oversee leasing, CAM reconciliations, and operating expense management.
• Provide strategic IT, insurance, risk management, and tax-appeal oversight.
