Job description

The Portfolio Analyst within our Strategic Portfolio and Business Development (SPBD) organization will play a crucial role in supporting the strategic growth and optimization of our pharmaceutical product portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating existing and potential product opportunities, providing comprehensive reports and recommendations to the Director of Portfolio Management, and ensuring that our portfolio aligns with the company's long-term objectives.

Location and Compensation

This position can be located in the following metro areas:

  • Grand Rapids, Michigan
  • Minneapolis, Minnesota
  • New Jersey
  • Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill (Research Triangle Park vicinity), North Carolina

Depending on location, this may be a hybrid office/remote position.

Salary: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Product Analysis: Conduct analysis of potential product opportunities, including forecasting, financial modeling, market research, and due diligence.
  2. Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor the performance of existing products, identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  3. Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations for senior management with insights and recommendations.
  4. Strategic Planning: Collaborate on developing and implementing strategic plans for portfolio growth.
  5. Risk Management: Assess and manage risks related to product opportunities.
  6. Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and competitors.
  7. Cross-Functional Liaison: Coordinate with other functions on project kick-offs, R&D feasibility, legal assessments, launch, operations, and commercialization.
  8. Data Management: Update portfolio information tools, reports, and databases.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical datasets and analytics tools (e.g., IQVIA, Cortellis, Global Data, IPD Analytics, PriceRx, FDA websites).
  • Experience in the generic pharmaceuticals industry or a background in pharmacy with analytical and financial skills.
