Job summary

Mark-Taylor, Inc. is seeking a Portfolio Accountant at its corporate office in Scottsdale, AZ. The role focuses on monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, cash management, and budget reviews for lease-up properties.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Accounting/Finance, 2 years of property management accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency with PMS/ERP tools such as ResMan, RealPage, MRI, or YARDi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.
• 2 years property management experience preferred.
• Proficient in GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports.
• Reconcile Balance Sheets.
• Oversee cash management and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Perform cash flow analysis and client distributions.
• Handle draw preparation and review budgets for lease-up properties.
• Prepare monthly sales tax returns.
• Audit property transactions actual to budget and coordinate with community operations for month-end close.
• Review the General Ledger and Accounts Payable coding for each community.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Requirements

• B.S. In Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• Preferably 2 years of property management experience working with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to report financial information.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent communications skills both verbal and in writing.
• Resman, RealPage, MRI, YARDi or other property management software proficiency is highly desirable

In This Role You Will
