Role Overview

The Land Rover Service Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the maintenance and service of vehicles.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

1. Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks.
2. Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning the completed vehicle to the customer.
3. Inspect vehicles for stains, debris, and damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damage immediately.
4. Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
5. Perform deliveries as required.
6. Clean interior and exterior of new and used vehicles.
7. Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards.
8. Return vehicle keys to the appropriate service consultant.
9. Pick up and deliver vehicles to storage.
10. Pick up parts from the Parts Department.
11. Test batteries of customer vehicles in the service drive.
12. Maintain building and grounds as needed.
13. Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6-12 months of previous work experience (preferred).
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle machinery safely.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to operate an automobile.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay for this position is $17.00-$17.50 per hour.
