Job description

Martin Automotive Group is seeking a Service Porter to join our team at our Subaru of Ontario dealership. Responsibilities:

1. Provide friendly, courteous, and prompt transportation to customers while their vehicles are being serviced or repaired.
2. Greet customers on the service drive and take walk-around pictures of their vehicles.
3. Make follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction.
4. Pick up and deliver packages, parts, or mail to the facility and run errands.
5. Drive defensively and comply with all motor vehicle laws.
6. Maintain cleanliness of vehicles. Recommend repairs/maintenance to management. Ensure registration and license tags are current.
7. Ensure all occupants wear seatbelts. Child restraint seats must be used in accordance with local law.
8. Pick up and deliver company-owned vehicles to dealerships and auctions.
9. Ensure vehicles are delivered in the same condition as received and deliver necessary paperwork and keys to the appropriate personnel.
10. Obtain proper paperwork and keys from the selling party and return them to the General Manager.
11. Ensure sign-off forms are completed and maintain possession of dealer plates, returning them to the General Manager.
12. Submit expense reports and receipts in a timely manner to the General Manager.
13. Notify the General Manager of any incidents, including speeding tickets or light obstructions.
14. Report all drivability issues and vehicle damage to the General Manager.
15. Complete all training as directed by your supervisor.
16. Follow policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
17. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Knowledge of the local area or town.
• Current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
