Description

The Service Porter Associate is expected to conduct themselves professionally, aligning with Shea Core Values and company policies. The pay range is $18.15 to $22.55/hour. The role includes eligibility for renewal and discretionary annual bonuses, along with benefits such as PTO, paid holidays, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, disability, life insurance, a 40% discounted apartment, a $1,000 sign-on bonus, and a cell phone allowance.

Job Duties

• Inspect and clean common areas including laundry rooms, restrooms, offices, models, pool, guest suites, and recreational facilities.
• Maintain grounds, remove trash, and wash/sweep common areas as directed.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of vacant apartments per checklists and policies.
• Deliver notices, flyers, and newsletters to residents.
• Paint signs, posts, fences, hydrants, and other areas as directed.
• Perform general maintenance duties as requested by the Service Manager.
• Stock maintenance supplies and reconcile shipments.
• Report safety concerns and community appearance issues to management.
• Promote positive resident relations through courteous assistance.
• Perform other duties as assigned, depending on community size.

Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• Effective communication skills.

• Ability to operate hand tools.
• Ability to work independently following instructions.
• Knowledge of First Aid and safety procedures.
• Experience in janitorial tasks including cleaning and painting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Work Environment

Work is on-site at an apartment community, involving interaction with residents, staff, and vendors. Hours typically range from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., including weekends, with flexibility required.

Physical Requirements

Must be physically capable of performing duties which include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasionally driving.
