Job summary

Cox Automotive USA is seeking an Lot Operations Specialist I to drive vehicles through auction lanes and manage on-site vehicle movements. This role operates day shifts with Monday–Friday hours and requires safety-focused, customer-service oriented performance.

Position offers hourly pay and potential incentive opportunities, with no remote option. A valid license and basic mechanical knowledge are essential to ensure efficient lot operations and asset handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Generally, less than 2 years of related experience.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to operate standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Basic mechanical knowledge of identifying issues (flat tires, low gas, jump-starts).

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days in a safe manner.
• Move vehicles to designated areas on Auction premises and between customer sites.
• Line up and park vehicles as directed and locate lost vehicles.
• Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed (inflating tires, jump-starts).
• Notify supervisor if a vehicle is inoperative or out of gas.
• Assist customers and coworkers as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.
