Delaware North Travel is hiring a Porter to join our team in the United States. The Porter will receive, store, and stock front and back-of-house supplies and support kitchen operations as needed.

Responsibilities include checking deliveries, maintaining receiving logs, rotating stock FIFO, and assisting with opening, mid, and closing duties. Required is a high school diploma or GED with 1–3 months of related experience; strong math, attention to detail, and ability to multitask are essential

Responsabilidades

• Monitor deliveries and analyze invoices and product quality/quantity
• Inspect all products on delivery for quality, temperature, and condition
• Report faulty or incorrect deliveries to the manager
• Receive, open, unpack, and stock supplies to shelves, racks, and service stations
• Rotate food and beverages FIFO; maintain accuracy of receiving logs
• Take inventory and identify items to reorder or replenish
• Return dirty dishes, silverware, glassware, and linen to the dishwashing area
• Break down boxes and dispose of them properly
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as outlined by management

Overview - $18.25 per hourDelaware North Travel is hiring a full-time and part-time Porter to join our team at [UNIT NAME] in [CITY, STATE]. As a Porter, you will be responsible for receiving, maintaining, and storing front and back of house restaurant supplies and step into other kitchen roles as needed to support the team's overall success.ResponsibilitiesMonitor all deliveries to the unit and properly analyze invoices and quality and quantity of products. Inspect all products upon delivery for quality, temperature, and condition.Report any faulty or incorrect deliveries immediately to the manager.Receive, open, unpack, and stock new or transferred restaurant supplies to their appropriate shelves, racks, tables, and service stations, storing them safely and securely.Perform proper rotation of all food and beverage products upon receipt-first in first out mentality.Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action.Properly handles and stores all chemicals received.Clean and maintain storage and delivery areas; ensure all kitchen and dining room equipment is clean, sanitary, and in good repair.Maintain receiving log by competently tracking all deliveries and missing items.Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.Return dirty dishes, silverware, glassware, and linen to the dishwashing area, wash, and sort appropriately.Break down boxes and dispose of them properly.Be able to perform opening, mid and closing duties as outlined by management.QualificationsHigh school diploma or general education degree; one to three months of previous stock clerk/steward or related experience and/or training highly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Basic math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to multitask but remain organized.Must have strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.Physical RequirementsConstant standing and walking for the entire length of shift.Frequently required to reach, pull, push, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
