Job summary

FirstService Residential in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Porter to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks across indoor and outdoor areas of our communities. You will inspect work, report to the Supervisor, and may work in varied environments.

This full-time role includes benefits and a schedule Tue-Sat, 8:30am-5pm with Sundays and Mondays off. The position requires at least a high school diploma and custodial experience is preferred, along with strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning/maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, and window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains all cleaning solutions per OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Operates new equipment safely and follows procedures.
• Maintains friendly and professional attitude.
• Ensures sanitary and cleaning supplies are adequate for assigned areas.
• Inspects areas daily and reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Ensures security procedures are followed at all times.
• Maintains working relationships with building staff.
• Finishes and burnishes floors as required.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
