POSITION SUMMARY

Porters are part of the critical foundation of our operation. In order for our business to function properly, we require our Porters to work incredibly hard and be in constant communication with all Team Members. In order for our business to function properly, we require our Porters to excel in a fast-paced environment, have great Guest service, and be able to locate and clean soiled areas quickly and efficiently.

KEY RESPONSILITIES

• Surface clean and deep clean all restrooms; monitor them regularly.
• Clean all floor types including carpet, tile, and wood using appropriate equipment and chemicals.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including removing litter and emptying trash.
• Clean tabletops, chair legs, table bases, mirrors, and windows.
• Scrub walls, trash cans, and baseboards.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop FOH (Front of House) floors as needed.
• Clean up biohazards safely and according to procedures.
• Remove graffiti from all areas of the property.

Safety & Compliance

• Place hazard signs (e.g., “Wet Floor”) where necessary.
• Follow all sanitation and health regulations.
• Use proper cleaning and sanitizing chemicals in accordance with standards.
• Monitor chemical usage for safety and efficiency.

Support Functions

• Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries from vendors and warehouses.
• Break down cardboard boxes for recycling.
• Dispose of bar trash correctly and efficiently.
• Maintain organized and clean supply/storage closets.
• Monitor cleaning and maintenance supply inventory and submit restock requests to management.

General Maintenance

• Complete smaller maintenance tasks such as changing lightbulbs and air filters, tightening screws in patio furniture, and hanging signage.
• Report larger maintenance needs or safety hazards to management promptly.

Quality Assurance

• Re-clean areas/items not meeting standards.
• Ensure items are handled carefully to avoid breakage.
• Monitor work areas for cleanliness and re-clean as needed.

Teamwork & Communication

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with all team members.
• Complete other job-related duties as assigned by management.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able to:

• Withstand prolonged walking, standing, bending, pushing, climbing and kneeling.
• Work indoors and outdoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as excessive noise, seasonal heat and cold, hard to reach and unclean work areas, cigarette smoke, and hazardous materials and equipment.
• Use the equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to carts, vacuums, pressure washers and all other cleaning equipment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent Guest service skills and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Must be over 21 years of age.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required
• Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain and upkeep any required work cards.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

• Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the employee’s department.
• Attend required training sessions offered by DTP.
• Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to drink alcoholic beverages.
• Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
