Job summary

Seminole Shores Assisted Living Center in Michigan is seeking a Porter to support residents and care staff with non-clinical assistance. Pay ranges from $13.50 to $15.50 per hour, with first shift part-time opportunities.

Responsibilities include delivering meals, escorting residents, assisting dining, providing companionship, light housekeeping, and reporting changes to the supervisor. Qualifications: English literacy, minimum 16 years old, background and pre-employment drug screenings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years of age.
• Must be able to pass the state mandated background screening and pre-employment drug screening.

• Deliver items such as meals, mail, water, linens, and packages.
• Escort residents to meals and activities.
• Assist with dining service (set up, beverages, clearing tables).
• Provide companionship and one-on-one visits as directed.
• Complete light housekeeping (beds, linens, trash, laundry support).
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to supervisor; assist residents with meals and life enrichment activities as needed.

Position Purpose

The Porter supports residents and care staff through non-clinicalassistance. This position helps to enhance the overall resident experience whilemaintainingdignity and respect,assistingeach resident to be as independent and self-sufficient as possible.
