Job summary

Seminole Shores Assisted Living Center in Michigan is hiring a Porter for 1st Shift, part-time. You will support residents and care staff with non-clinical tasks, helping to keep the living environment comfortable and dignified.

Pay ranges from $13.50 to $15.50 per hour, based on experience and credentials. Responsibilities include delivering items, escorting residents, assisting dining service, light housekeeping, companionship, and reporting changes to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and carry out directions in English
• Minimum of 16 years of age
• Must be able to pass state mandated criminal background screening and pre-employment drug screening

• Deliver items such as meals, mail, water, linens, and packages
• Escort residents to meals and activities
• Assist with dining service (set up, beverages, clearing tables)
• Provide companionship and one-on-one visits as directed
• Complete light housekeeping (beds, linens, trash, laundry support)
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to supervisor

Position Purpose

The Porter supports residents and care staff through non-clinicalassistance. This position helps to enhance the overall resident experience whilemaintainingdignity and respect,assistingeach resident to be as independent and self-sufficient as possible.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Ability tolift upto 20 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, andassistresidents in all aspects of personal care.
• Handle emotional and physical demands of caregiving
