Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping a community running smoothly? Do you have experience operating small machinery, including power and hand tools? Are you experienced working with cleaning chemicals? Are you looking for a career filled with purpose and the opportunity to make a positive impact by providing affordable housing? If so, we are seeking a Porter for our 101-unit elderly residential community, Oceanport Gardens, in Oceanport, NJ.

In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional service to our residents, with opportunities for skill development and career advancement.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform upkeep and janitorial duties to maintain property condition, demonstrating pride in your building and grounds.
• Learn new skills and collaborate with the maintenance team on small repairs and preventative activities.
• Assist in minor maintenance work in coordination with the building maintenance team.
• Help prepare vacant units alongside the maintenance team.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents during your duties.
• Regularly inspect property and equipment for proper functionality.
• Perform snow removal and landscaping as needed.
• Maintain building supplies and inventory appropriately.
• Communicate safety concerns to management.
• Support site and office operations as assigned.
