Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all common areas (lobbies, hallways, dining rooms, restrooms, activity rooms, outdoor spaces).
  • Perform routine cleaning (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash).
  • Assist with room turnover and light maintenance (minor repairs, painting, furniture assembly).
  • Respond to resident and staff requests for facility-related assistance.
  • Monitor and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Support event setup/breakdown within the community.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning/maintenance supplies and request replenishment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Porter dedicated to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents. The Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of all common areas, assisting with light maintenance duties, and supporting a high standard of hospitality and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, dining rooms, restrooms, activity rooms, and outdoor spaces.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash.
  • Assist with room turnover and light maintenance duties, such as minor repairs, painting, and furniture assembly.
  • Respond promptly to resident and staff requests for assistance with facility-related needs.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support the setup and breakdown of events and activities within the community.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies and request replenishment as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or maintenance work, especially in a residential or hospitality setting, is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Friendly, respectful, and professional demeanor when interacting with residents and staff.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening, as required by state regulations.
