Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in the United States is seeking a Porter to support quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles before delivery and maintaining shop and office cleanliness. You will help with vehicle prep, interior and exterior vehicle cleanup, and transport to sublet locations as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to multitask, and (preferably) automotive experience, with a valid drivers license and strong attention to detail.

• 18 years or older and possess a valid drivers license.
• Clear close vision required.

Responsibilities

• Execute the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of office interior and production area.
• Manage parking lots and grounds in neat, orderly condition.
• Pre-wash customer vehicles prior to repairs and clean vehicles after repairs.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.
• Assist with other duties as needed by the team.

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
• Strong attention to detail

Compensation Details

$15 - 17 / Hour Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
