Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Chico, CA is seeking a Porter to support vehicle cleaning before delivery and maintain shop and office cleanliness. You will pre-wash vehicles, clean interiors and exteriors after repairs, and help move vehicles to sublet locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail.
• Automotive experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning floors and dusting countertops.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the production area, disposing of waste and organizing tools/equipment.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs.
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
• Strong attention to detail

Compensation Details

HOURLY $17 - $21 / Hour Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
