Job summary

The Finger Companies is seeking a Porter to maintain the apartment community at 1900 Yorktown Maintenance, Houston, TX. This full-time role pays $18.00/hour and focuses on keeping common areas clean, outdoor spaces, and pool areas presentable for residents and visitors.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance of common areas, basic repairs, landscaping tasks, and ensuring safety and cleanliness. Weekend availability is required to cover alternating shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work alternating weekends.
• Previous experience in property maintenance, grounds keeping, or a related field.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance of common areas, including carpet cleaning, replacing light bulbs, trash collection.
• Minor landscaping- leaf blowing and power washing.
• Ensure trash and recycling areas are clean and organized.
• Clean community pool, pool area/grills and other outdoor spaces.
• Address minor repair requests and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed.
• Monitor the property for safety hazards and report any issues to the Lead Maintenance.
