C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Porter to keep our facilities clean and safe. You’ll perform janitorial duties across warehouses and offices, maintain floors, restrooms, and break areas, and follow safety procedures to help us meet company and governmental guidelines.

Earn $17.00 per hour on 1st shift with weekly pay and benefits from day one, including medical, dental, vision, a company matched 401k, PTO and holiday pay.

Responsibilities

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment as a custodian/janitor.
• Cleaning the warehouse and office spaces, including windows and restrooms.
• Maintaining floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing.
• Occasionally moving products with equipment for cleaning.
• Tending to spills and disposing of waste properly.
• Complying with material handling safety procedures.
• Ability to lift varying weights as needed.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

Position Overview

Porters work as a part of a team to reserve a clean and tidy environment throughout our facilities. These critical roles help to support our prideful work environment and the delivery of high quality product to our customers. As a Porter, you will clean and maintain the administrative offices, warehouse and other assigned areas in order to satisfy company and governmental guidelines. You will clean and sanitize designated areas of a warehouse as well as tend to product spill clean-up. All of our employees are expected to make safety their top priority.

Job Description

• Earn $17.00 per hour
• Shift - 1st shift
• Weekly pay
• Location - Bethlehem, Pa

You will contribute by:

• Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor
• Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms
• Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors
• Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product
• Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
• Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• Having the ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more

• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
