Job summary

Norton Lilly International in Long Beach, CA is seeking a CA Transportation Operations Manager to lead local transportation and logistics operations across assigned ports. You will drive service reliability, fleet readiness, safety, and cost control while aligning with company policies and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities include managing driver performance, onboarding and coaching, coordinating with dispatch, and ensuring compliance with HSEQ and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in transportation, logistics, or maritime operations preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Must obtain TWIC within 30 days of hire if not already obtained.
• Onsite role at assigned port locations with strong leadership requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead local operational performance across assigned ports and ensure service quality and cost control.
• Oversee fleet maintenance, inspections, licensing, and vendor servicing for compliance and readiness.
• Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and manage drivers and staff; manage schedules and overtime.
• Coordinate with dispatch to ensure accurate fleet tracking and support local recovery efforts during disruptions.
• Represent the company in maritime organizations and with customers to grow relationships.
