Job summary

OHLA USA is seeking a Safety Manager to support PortMiami North Bulkhead Realignment Project, a large-scale marine and heavy civil infrastructure project. The Safety Manager will promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, conduct inspections, lead safety training, and support incident prevention efforts across all project activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of construction safety experience in heavy civil, marine, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• OSHA compliance, safety inspections, incident investigations, and safety training.
• Marine port or waterfront project experience preferred.
• OHSA 30-hour Construction and current First Aid/CPR/AED required.
• TWIC card or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and pre-task safety meetings.
• Monitor OSHA compliance, safety policies, and project safety plans.
• Identify hazards, implement corrective actions, and stop unsafe work.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and maintain safety records and documentation.
• Support safe execution of high-risk activities and permit compliance.
• Monitor traffic control, fall protection, and over-water work.
• Assist with emergency response plans and training programs.
• Conduct incident investigations and track corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project management, superintendents, and subcontractors.
