Job summary

Weeks Marine, Inc. is seeking an experienced safety manager to lead construction safety programs on marine/infrastructure projects. This role focuses on creating, supporting, and auditing safety processes to uphold our “Nobody Gets Hurt” standard.

You will manage project-level safety programs, analyze incident data, train staff, and coordinate with OSHA authorities. The position supports NY, NJ, or CT work sites and requires flexible deployment across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• CSP or CHST preferred; OSHA 30.
• 5–7+ years of experience managing safety on construction projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and hazard recognition.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the company environmental health and safety programs at the project level.
• Compile, analyze, and interpret occupational illness and accident data at the project level.
• Recommend safety features to reduce hazards and exposure.
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Coach employees on safe behaviors and monitor for unsafe practices.
• Develop safety training materials and track training records.
• Interpreting safety regulations for the project and coordinating trainings.
