Job summary

Glovis America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager - Operations to lead all Port Shreveport operations, including Yard, VPC, Rail and Body Shop activities.

You will direct daily plans, manage teams, and drive production efficiency while maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to coordinate with internal departments and external partners to meet customer expectations and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Associates Degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• 8 - 12 years of direct operational knowledge and proven leadership skills in a production/manufacturing, logistics industry
• 6 - 8 supervisory experience required
• Must hold a valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Oversees all activities related to vehicle processing and shipping
• Responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies
• Coordinates vehicle processing and logistics activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment
• Reports to the General Manager on daily operational matters and issues
• Works with internal and external customers to ensure Glovis meets or exceeds customer expectations
• Ensures managers are compliant with company activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing and retrieving production data reports
• Responds to inquiries from all customers, internal and external
• Daily communications and collaboration with the management team to ensure synergy exists between all departments
• Monitors / evaluates quality of all processes and procedures of VPC Operations
• Creates and changes departmental processes for continuous process improvement activities
• Assign responsibilities to Team Members
• Create / review production and operating reports and direct the resolution of production problems to ensure minimum costs and to prevent production delays
