Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in maritime studies or related field preferred.
• Strong interest in maritime operations or harbor management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and willingness to learn from experienced Harbormasters.

Responsibilities

• Port Operations Support: assist with day-to-day port operations, vessel traffic management, mooring, and cargo handling under supervision.
• Customer Service: provide aid to vessel operators, Port users, and visitors, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Safety: assist in safety measures, conduct routine safety rounds, and emergency response as directed.
• Administrative & Finance Tasks: maintain records of vessel movements and port activities, learn reporting procedures.
• Maintenance Support: identify maintenance needs and coordinate with facilities for timely repairs.
