All Modal Transportation in Huntington Park, CA seeks an experienced Fleet Dispatcher/Transportation Manager to support year-round operations and oversee a local fleet of drivers and company-owned trucks.

Typical duties include routing, scheduling with terminals, maintaining DOT/OSHA compliance, and coordinating maintenance and repairs while monitoring budgets and performance metrics for profitability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years port drayage dispatching experience or trucking operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work long hours.
• Attention to detail and positive attitude.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Managing operation of steady routes; dispatching and scheduling appointments with terminals, pick-ups, and drop-offs
• Responsible for managing a local fleet of Drivers
• Complete oversight of our drivers and daily terminal operations
• Work with the Office Manager on qualification, hiring, training, and retention of drivers
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations and compliance within company guidelines
• Oversee routine and non-routine maintenance for all trucks and coordinate repairs
• Handle roadside assistance needs and develop cost-effective strategies to minimize on-the-road issues
• Monitor budget and operational metrics and implement process improvements
• Other duties as required
