Job summary

U.S. Multimodal Group is seeking a Dispatcher to join our Rancho Dominguez, CA team. You will coordinate freight movement, dispatch drivers, and communicate with customers to ensure on-time delivery in a fast-paced intermodal environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years port drayage experience, knowledge of the LA/LB ports, and familiarity with Profit Tools or similar TMS. This onsite role offers competitive pay and full benefits in a supportive, team-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years port drayage experience, Port of LA/LB knowledge.
• High school diploma required; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers to locations per customer requests.
• Proactively communicate with drivers and customers on updates.
• Maintain dispatch records, logs, and shipment details.
• Coordinate with third parties to ensure timely deliveries.
• Handle urgent situations and minimize disruptions.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance; know DOT rules.
• Utilize Profit Tools TMS for operations and reporting.
• Respond to customer inquiries and support sales team.
