Job summary

Yusen Logistics (Americas) is seeking an Operations Specialist to execute Port Dray Service for Import and Export container moves. You will liaise via email and phone with customers, carriers, and terminals to ensure efficient operations and high service performance across assigned accounts.

The role requires 1–3 years in supply chain/logistics, HS diploma or GED, and strong Excel and communication skills. On-site role with competitive benefits and opportunities for process improvements.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience in supply chain / logistics / transportation roles or related functions.
• Strong Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting.
• Must have good customer service skills and communicate effectively with carriers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily operations plan in a team setting.
• Understand port drayage, port/rail operations, and related processes.
• Coordinate shipments with shippers, receivers, carriers, and terminals to meet timelines.
• Track shipments via phone, email, and systems to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
• Identify delays, manage exceptions, and communicate issues promptly.
• Monitor service performance and adherence to daily/weekly plans.
• Audit freight bills with knowledge of tariffs and accessorials.
• Maintain up-to-date records in required systems and documentation.
