Job summary

Yusen Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented logistics coordinator to oversee drayage-related records and reporting. The role involves coordinating with carriers, dock supervisors, and customers to ensure timely movements of goods and accurate data communication across departments.

The candidate will prepare and share monthly summaries, participate in regular production calls, and support dock activity planning to optimize operations across the facility.

Responsibilities

• Develops and updates daily performance shift goals to dock supervisors.
• Analyzes labor required to complete projected workload and follows up on shortfalls.
• Coordinates arrival of priority containers with dock supervisors.
• Establishes daily drayage forecast, vessel assignments, and coordinates with drayage partners, port authorities, terminal operators and customers to meet daily/weekly goals.
• Maintains contact with carriers to collect data about daily performance.
• Analyzes and cross-references reports while coordinating with customer service and staff to ensure proper movements of customer goods.
• Prepares multiple monthly summary reports for facility and company leadership.
• Participates in weekly production calls with customers and daily production statuses with facility leadership.
